WORLD'S FOREMOST AUTHORITY
Chin-Ning Chu, a direct descendant of the Royal Ming Dynasty, is regarded as the world’s foremost authority on the practical application of Sun Tzu’s Art of War, an ancient strategy treatise written in 460 B.C. and once used to determine the fate of nations. It is widely believed that Napoleon read and adopted many of Sun Tzu's strategies. Today, it is an internationally popular business management resource, and during Desert Storm, every officer in the U.S. Marines was issued a copy of the Art of War as standard battle gear! It is now, according to Chin-Ning, the ultimate guide for women!

The art of war is universal. It is about the art, not the war. For 5000 years Chinese philosophers had devoted their time to observing and documenting nature’s secrets and the subtle patterns that govern it. Sun Tzu based his Art of War principles on these philosophical observations of the laws governing the universe. Sun Tzu’s “art of war” is based on five principles:

    • Tao (moral standing/universal righteousness);
      Studying the tao of strategy will help you bring forth your brilliant ideas on the job andinyour home. (18) Empathy and cooperation will be the superior qualities in the 21st century. (24) If you don’t like how others treat you change the way you perceive yourself. All successful women worldwide have one thing in common: they don’t acknowledge the glass ceiling.(39)
    • Tien (timing);
      Being in line with timing allows you to take advantage of the force of momentum, and momentum gives power. When you have timing with you, you are unstoppable. And that is what is happening to women as we enter the new millennium. In this new century women will be an unstoppable force. We are moving from the Industrial Revolution to the Information Revolution, from his-story to her-story, from the Man’s Century to the Woman’s Century. (58)
    • Di (assets and liabilities);
      “When one obtains victory by modifying her tactics, in relation to her opponent’s, she is a divine warrior. –Sun Tzu (6.32) The essence of “di” is to take what we cannot change and put it to work for our benefit. Being a woman can work for you or against you. Every liability is a strength in disguise.
    • Jian (leadership);
      For men and women alike the lack of personal power is the root of all of our problems. The world abuses those who are weak and wimpy; be they men or women, young or old, at work or on the playground. Power has little to do with being confrontational; it is about capturing and exhibiting the proper attitude. When we’re too attached to consequences we undermine our own clarity and we actually lose our power. Nothing gets done without a leader. (161) Good mothers and good leaders share 5 qualities: wisdom, trustworthiness; benevolence; courage; strictness.
    • Fa (managing and discipline).
      “Eat what you kill” is the secret to operating any corporate or entrepreneurial project. To translate this statement into today’s modern marketing and sales terms: Create results. (193)

GLOBAL PARTICIPATION
In the diversity and multi-cultural arena, Chin-Ning participates globally. She has worked with the Peruvian Government, Malaysian bankers, Southeast Asian and Pacific Island business leaders, the Chinese Government, Japanese and Korean multinational conglomerates, and American and European Fortune 500 companies in developing business strategies and cross-cultural training. When the world encountered collisions of culture such as the caneing incident in Singapore, CNN’s CrossFire interviewed Chin-Ning in an attempt to understand. When North Korea provoked the U.S. with their threat of nuclear escalation and when Japan and the U.S. were facing bitter trade conflicts, Larry King came to Chin-Ning for solutions.

CORPORATE FANS
Chin-Ning has two seeming disadvantages in the corporate arena: she is female and she is Chinese-American. However, seventy percent of her fans, audiences and readers are influential corporate businessmen. She will share the secrets of smashing the glass ceiling, being the exception to the rule, and turning apparent liabilities into assets. Chin-Ning dispenses a powerful perspective and dynamic strategies for each woman to get ahead. She assists women in becoming winners in the workplace and in improving family relationships. She weaves diverse elements of strength, strategy, pragmatic enterprise and personal growth into every topic she addresses. Chin-Ning’s speaking style is energetic, truthful and humorous while her message is profound and thought-provoking.
