An Operatic Feast!

Maestro Peter Jaffe explores a pair of beloved Italian operas, one tragic,
one comic, to be performed in a double bill by the Stockton Opera in
January. Leoncavallo’s famed love tragedy, Pagliacci, delivers a “play
within a play” by depicting characters in a commedia dell’arte troupe. Puccini’s
brilliant comedy Gianni Schicchiprovides brilliant contrast, with family members
bickering over the will of their recently deceased relative. Maestro Jaffe previews
both masterpieces at the Stockton Women’s Network luncheon along with a singer
from the cast!
